Questions
Is rewriting a competitor listing allowed on Etsy?
The rewriter produces original wording rather than a copy of the source listing. Still review the result before publishing: Etsy can flag listings that read too close to an existing one, and you are responsible for what you publish.
Do I need a screenshot, or is text enough?
Either works. Pasting the title and description is usually fastest; a screenshot is handy when you want the product photo read as well, and you can supply both.
How is this different from generating a listing from scratch?
Generating from scratch starts from your own keywords or photo. The rewriter starts from a listing that already ranks, so the output is aimed at the search terms that listing is winning.
