Bulk Etsy Listing Generator: CSV Template and Review Workflow

To generate Etsy listing copy in bulk with TagCraft, prepare one product per spreadsheet row, upload the file with a Pro or Studio account, review the generated drafts and export the results. The upload accepts up to 200 rows, subject to your remaining quota. It generates copy; it does not create or publish products in your Etsy shop.

Download the input template

Start with the CSV template or Excel template. The required columns are keywords, category and tone; language is optional. Keep the header names unchanged. Use the supported values shown by the bulk tool rather than your own spelling of a category.

keywords

Example
handmade silver ring
What to enter
Verified facts and relevant product phrases.

category

Example
jewelry
What to enter
A supported TagCraft category.

tone

Example
casual
What to enter
A supported writing tone.

language

Example
english
What to enter
Optional supported language value.

Prepare facts that distinguish each product

Replace the short sample keywords with the actual material, size, quantity, finish and other relevant details for that item. Keep facts for different products in different rows. If you save CSV manually, quote a field that contains commas; a spreadsheet application can handle CSV escaping for you.

The spreadsheet workflow uses text inputs. An image URL pasted into keywords is not a photo upload. For a photo-based draft, use the signed-in single-listing generator instead. Even there, supply facts a photo cannot establish, such as dimensions or metal purity.

Validate the file and start with a small batch

Open the bulk generator, upload the file and resolve reported input errors before starting generation. First try a few representative products so you can review the level of detail in your inputs. Once those drafts are useful, prepare the larger batch.

Bulk generation requires Pro or Studio. Each generated row uses the plan’s generation allowance. Check your remaining quota and the current plans before uploading a large catalog; the 200-row file limit does not add credits to your account.

Review every result before publishing

Check every draft against its source row. Verify product claims, title readability, tag relevance, spelling and buyer instructions. Resolve any generation failures shown by the tool. A completed batch means drafts are available, not that the facts have been independently verified.

For a digital planner, for example, confirm the file formats and page sizes. For a ring, confirm the metal, dimensions and available sizes. Never approve the entire batch solely because one sample reads well. Use the listing checklist for the final pass.

Export and transfer the reviewed text

Export the completed results and keep a copy with your original inputs. The output is listing copy, not an Etsy inventory-import package. Enter the reviewed fields in Etsy and verify photos, variations, pricing and delivery separately. The desktop Chrome extension offers an autofill workflow; you control Save and Publish.

Decide whether a paid batch workflow fits

Use a free single-listing draft to judge the wording first. A batch workflow is most useful when repeated copy preparation is taking time and your product facts are already organized. It cannot replace keyword-demand research or guarantee ranking improvements. See the bulk tool details before choosing a plan.

FAQ

Does TagCraft upload the CSV directly to Etsy?
No. It uses the input spreadsheet to generate listing text. Review the results and transfer them to Etsy; product settings and publication remain under your control.
Can I bulk generate Etsy listings for free?
TagCraft bulk generation requires Pro or Studio. You can evaluate a single-listing draft using the separate free options before choosing a paid plan.
What if I have fewer credits than rows?
The batch is subject to your remaining generation quota. Reduce the batch or review your plan allowance before starting; the upload limit does not increase your quota.
